EPL Kavadis

It was a great Thaipusam this year. Memorable I will say. Took "paal kudem", and joined several friend's and relative's kavadi precession. It was fun being with my friends, helping each other out. We set up a stall this year and will continue doing it, in upcoming years. May Lord Muruga blesses all of us...

I also have many pictures of us and videos on Thaipusam 2009 celebration...and I will post all of it later as I still working on it. Anyway the reason I wrote this time is to express my dissapointment on these two young Indians in Penang where they got this mixed feelings with their football interest and religous belief. It might sound to be hilarious to foreigners but this one for me personally, I already took it seriousy.

First of all, I dont want to bore all of you talking about this men and their kavadis, but as soon as I read this news on paper, I immediately had this fear as if this issue is not criticised and handled properly we might see a lot of "untolerable" kavadis in future. Normally, Kavadi has to create this feelings of love to GOD, admiring it's beauty is the point here. Not by creating something that you like and the most irriatating part is, what they did to their kavadi doesn't connect anything to our religion or any of our belief in Hinduism. Simply unacceptable.

This man here is said to be carrying kavadi for LORD MURUGA because of the birth of his son. Its ok.. I can say that acceptable. But why his kavadi has to be decorated in such manner?. I cant understand his point of view creating something like that and bring it down to Thaipusam festival. Yes, sometimes i hear people tell stories about this Thaipusam celebration and some of us may find it weird some time as so many "unexplainable" happenings will take place during the celebration, but it doen't has to be this weird rite?.

After the "Thasa Avatharam" kavadi in Thaipusam, here is one more in Penang, which prompts a lot of questions on our standing in our religous beliefs and values in future.




Come on stop all this craps... Let it remain as it was...

How the Perak state government fell

Jan 25: Umno’s Bota assemblyman Datuk Nasarudin Hashim quits Barisan to join PKR.

Jan 26: Perak Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Tajol Rosli Ghazali takes responsibility for defection. Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin claims three more will leave Umno and join PKR.

Jan 27: Nasarudin goes into “hiding”.

Jan 28: Tajol Rosli quits as Perak Umno liaison chairman. Nasarudin resurfaces, says he will not change his mind. Barisan drops first hint of defections from PKR.

Jan 29: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak takes over as Perak Barisan chairman and state Umno liaison chairman.

Jan 30: Nizar dismisses talk that both Jamaluddin (Behrang) and Mohd Osman (Changkat Jering), who were charged with corruption last August, would be crossing over. Several Umno assemblyman claim PKR agents had approached them to cross over.

Jan 31: Jamaluddin and Mohd Osman go “missing”. Eight Umno branches in Bota disband, members join PKR.

Feb 1: Perak state assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar releases undated resignation letters signed by the two. Both deny resigning and claim they were forced to sign the letters after the March 8 elections.

Feb 2: Sivakumar submits the resignation letters to the Election Commission and declared seats vacant. Nizar meets Sultan of Perak. Jamaluddin and Mohd Osman fail to show up at press conferences.

Feb 3: EC rules that Changkat Jering and Behrang seats are not vacant. Both assemblymen quit their seats to become Independent. Perak deputy speaker Hee Yit Foong goes “missing” but later states she is still with DAP.

Feb 4: Hee turns Independent. Nizar meets Sultan in bid to have assembly dissolved. Najib announces fall of Pakatan government and says Barisan is ready to take over.


As Malaysian political arena never fails to shock and amuse everyone time to time,What really we can conclude from the news above? Personally i would say multiple reactions. I dont know wether the news is funny, shocking or simply unacceptable , but for me I am still in shock. Doesn't really expect all this will happen when Perak MB was sworn in last year..When the opposition captured majority seats in the elections, nobody expected this will happen, moreover its not even a year. All these politicians was elected by the people, and from their election manifestos nothing seem to be followed. Especially when these politicians decided to cross over.

At this level, what is the talking point now is...

-- Is process of democracy followed?

-- Is this what the people want?

-- Does the people can really accept this transition of power?


Alright, I have to be more specific. I am aware there is rules such as Perak constitution law to be followed and thats how it should be done rite? And I believe Sultan and everyone including BN people and Pakatan people are following this procedure.

Then why there is a lot of protest for this power transition even the veterans think that this a move by BN because they are desperate. Lawyer Karpal Singh quoted saying he is studying and analysing the facts to protest the Sultan's order according to the law. Note this, after Karpal said this, BAR council chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenivasan said no body can challenge the Sultan's decision.So Sultan has done a great job.Talking about party hopping she said it was "legally permissible", and morality is the another issue.

Quoting what Datuk Ambiga said 'There may be good reasons that politicians want to cross over but having gone through elections and people take the trouble to vote for you, maybe it is time to look at an anti-hopping law.

“If you look at moral and ethical points of view, one should not defeat the mandate and wishes of the people. But the legal position is, you can cross" .

Understand. I really have to respect her for statement in the end about the mandate given by the people to these politicians and personally the RAKYAT not only voted for them,but also for the respective party they represented. How about the RAKYAT? They are the one formed the previous government by voting for the opposition, and now how sure these politicians are about the RAKYAT's view about this transition.

Lets say if there is a fresh election in Perak? Large sums of money would be involved, which prompts up a question. Is this affordable now? I think so much of money are being wasted for plenty of 'unpromising' projects. If there is anyone to divert all these cash flows to the right track, then it is a possiblity. I really believe that BN people will try to avoid election, and for sure they are on the driving seat now.




Another person who caught my attention is Bota assemblyman Dtk Nasaruddin HAshim. He said decision to return to BN was made after considering the unstable and confusing political situation in Perak. If we look back he is the starting point of these chaos in the state. Now he is claiming that he returned to his old party for the sake of people and the political situation. If things go wrong again, will he defect again to another party? So when he joins PKR he was concerned about the people ey? How in the world in just 1o days he manage to find such a trmendous change in his perceptions about politic and the RAKYAT?

You see, I am not supporting any political parties here. If you able to observe whats going on in a microscopic way maybe , you be able to detect some things that you never imagined before, hopping politicians most probably are capable of creating uncertainties in our political system, and will lead to lost of confidence and faith among the RAKYAT.

I've heard stories in other political sense, Mr President Obama went to multiple parties to show that he cares and he has to try to get on the good side of all the people at the parties. I know our political system is different from their's, politicians here shouldn;t be compared with US politicians but still politics were made for the sake for country and its people and there is a lot of criterias that should be considered before moving on..

I am not a lawyer to debate this issue, wether some laws should be implemented or not but I believe a comprehensive anti hopping law must be enacted so that any politicians, assemblymen and women who is thinking of jumping or switching parties must stand the consequences. This is a way to build trust between politicians and the RAKYAT who voted for them . There is some proposals by some concerned politicians about implementing the law, since Datuk Seri Anwar announces that he is going to take over the government on Sept 16, and nothing done by him, and thats why this issue got silent, and now seriously we might need the law.

Call The Dead!!

Technology is weird, Yes, I said weird. Let me explain why I concluded technology as a weird thing. Since the early days of mankind, we (human), went through so many breakthroughs in science and technology and we already witnessed amazing inventions if we start to realise how we adopt ourselves in these fast growing technology tracks, it will be amazing and incredible enough watching all of us did it in the most efficient way.. But is it too early to bring down the axe?

Man had invented satellite televisions, spacecraft, rockets, special robotic vehicle to explore Mars, controlled here from earth, communication technology breakthroughs and so on...And till today, scientist and engineers still teaming up together and might make the world to turn around at them again in future...I am trying to point out that inventions is good, but still we have to study the effects and consequences, to the people..

For all of your information , an experiment was conducted by a scientist and a French engineer, about inventing a phone to call and talk to the dead. According to the inventor, consists of a random voltage generator, which is used to tune an AM receiver module rapidly. The audio from the tuner (raw radio) is amplified and fed to an echo chamber, where the spirits manipulate it to form their voices. Apparently doing so is difficult to the spirits, so our 'spirit technician', whom he calls on to corral wayward spirits to within earshots of the receiver. What it sounded like was the rapid twirling of a radio dial so that only noises and word fragments were audible.

When the inventor was asked wether he can determine the location of the spirit, he answered "in another dimension maybe", and when asked "how he can tell the difference between a dead persons's real words and the random noises that just sound like words?" he answered,.." we (technicians) have to be very careful, record the sessions and analyse the consistency in what people hear .

Ah, no wonder in future our grandsons and their children might be looking at billboards and signboards stated more like this:

For Indians we used to pray for the dead ones, once a year( Annual Prayer), or a day before Deepavali, serving various kind of foods and drinks in front of their pictures ( At last, you know where will all the foods will end up with).

So why not our next generation uses this service to call them and ask them what they really want instead. Probably it will sound like this:

Try to imagine what the other races can do if this service finds it own way to grow....Ok.. I am not trying to insult anyone here. This method is still under experiment and may be, in 100 to 150 years time this might be possible.So whatever inventions being made or still in the process, its for our own good, for humans to develop and live a better, easier life..and thats all these experiments are all about, remember it really crucial and important on how we are going to reflect or respond to all this master works.

Football Heart Attack.

As I was having a conversation yesterday with a friend of mine, Mr. Abang Mani, he suddenly mentioned to me that people shouldnt involve in sports at all, its too dangerous he said. I was shocked! Dangerous he said. So I tried to talk to him...


Me : Yenna Mani, sport irundathan udambu nallairukum, rattam nalla odum odumbuley?

Abg Mani : Yenna machi, rattam nalla odumnan nalla tanni adi?

Me : Yennada solrey?

Abg Mani : Tanni adicha odambu suudah irukumda,rattam nalla vhegamah phovum, apparam
illana oru varatukku oru vaati body massage poh?

Me : Ithu yellam panna siikiram syurgatukku than poh mudiyam...

Abg Mani : Sport ley irundalumthan syurgatukku poh lan! unaku theruyathu?

OK. guys I am not trying to discourage anyone here, but most of people out there are still not aware about this... Above conversation is about Abg mani's perception on sports, but some how I managed to talk to him by explaining to him some things.

Its common to see people being encouraged to involve themselves with sports and activities. This is to ensure our health and happiness. But its really weird to see sportsmen especially soccer players, getting severe heart attacks during playing on the pitch that cause death.

The most common cause of death whilst playing soccer is a Heart attack. Usually caused be either Extreme Stress placed on the heart or a Heart Defect that the player has been born with.

Yes, if any one you know or maybe your friends,or whoever they are, who have any medical histories that can lead to heart attack, dont encourage them to play any kind of sports without proper medical advise from a professional. Feeling nervous also while playing can lead to heart attack.
